About CharterMax

CharterMax has been developed primarily for South African air charter operators, although it can be adapted and has been adapted for a few air charter operators outside of South Africa.
CharterMax was first implemented in the year 2000, in response to a request from the air charter industry. It started small and simple, but has grown over the years based on feedback and requests from air charter operators, and CharterMax is still growing. Having grown based on feedback from actual users, CharterMax can provide functionality that you actually need and use, without unnecessary and unwanted frills and bells and whistles that some developer thought might be cool.
The CharterMax interface is deliberately kept relatively simple, which ultimately makes for better system performance and a more user-friendly experience.
Due to CharterMax having been developed over many years, based on requests and feedback from the air charter industry, it typically covers most of what an air charter operator needs. Where necessary we can adapt or add to the system (within the scope of the system) to meet specific needs.
With every implementation, we will set up CharterMax to generate your public documentation (such as the quote template, and your flight documentation) according to your requirements, and / or to match as far as possible the documentation that you are already using. In most cases the clients do not even know that the operator has implemented a new system, as the paperwork is the same. The only difference would be that the operator is now able to respond much faster to client requests.
CharterMax is used by small operators as well national corporates and even multi-nationals that have local operations.
CharterMax is constantly being further developed and improved based on feedback from our clients, and based on changing industry requirements, and we are excited to see CharterMax continuing to improve and do more and work better.
CharterMax is provided on the basis of a once-off initial implementation fee, followed by a monthly licence fee. The cost structure relies primarily on the monthly licence fee, which includes functional updates as they become available, and a support allocation.
Overview
The CharterMax system enables users to quickly and efficiently
- produce quotations for their customers
- submit invoices for flights and track payments
- manage resources by maintaining flight rosters
- produce the dispatch documentation required for a flight
- do flight following administration
- capture post-flight information from the returned documentation
- do reconciliation of costs (i.e. quoted versus actual)
- track renewals and maintain crew duty histories
- view live operational information on an electronic dashboard
Your CharterMax installation does not have to consist of all the available modules, as you can choose which modules you want based on your specific needs.
The modules have been designed to be able to work independently if required, but if multiple modules are used, they will work integrated with each other for improved efficiency.
With a new installation of the system the starting numbers for most sequential documents (such as quotes, passenger tickets and other flight documentation) can be specified, for the sake of maintaining continuity with legacy documents.
It is being used primarily by air charter operators, but also to a lesser extent by scheduled and contract operators.
A number of setup options and tools are available to provide fine control over much of the functionality. However, if you are new to the system, and / or just want to keep things simple, you can stick to the basics. You can make use of the more advanced functions if you want to and when you are ready.
It is a multi-user system, where you can control who has access to what.
Records are retained in the database after completion, and can therefore be retrieved again at a later stage. Multi-parameter search facilities assist in quickly locating a specific record.
Information in the database is captured and maintained by the operator, providing full control over the information. Statutory fee updates (as per South African government gazettes) are provided as system updates.
CharterMax has a comprehensive set of reports, but reports can be modified, and new reports can be added. Print-outs and reports can be customized as might be needed for your specific requirements, provided the underlying information is available.
CharterMax can be run in-house on your local IT infrastructure, or hosted on one of our application hosting servers using Remote Desktop. When hosted, users will have access to the system (via Remote Desktop) from anywhere in the world as long as they have internet connectivity. The servers are located in a data center and has a guaranteed uptime of 99.9%. If hosted, we then also take care of backups, which are done on a daily basis and are stored offsite. The possible solutions and configurations will be explained and selected based on your specific requirements.
We have established a dedicated easy-to-remember 086 support line.
Support is provided remotely via TeamViewer and / or via the server session, which means that if you need help, we are just a phone call away and can assist you within minutes.
